Marked “Made at L. Hostetlers, New Hamburg, ON 1913” This marked "10K" yellow gold monogram brooch was made by Emerson D. Luckhardt as a demonstration of skill to mentor and jewellery store owner Lafayette Hostetler. “E.D.L” cypher is set with 3 distinct gold jewel settings each press-fit with a pocket watch jewel. Emerson would later take over Lafayette Hostetler’s store in Downtown New Hamburg, as outlined in the included document. Includes L. Hostetler jewellery box, E. Luckhard calling card, and sale agreement document. Condition: Excellent Brooch weight – 12 grams. Brooch measures 1.5” in diameter
